More on the 12 news interview
On the heels of a mention in the front page story about Gangplank and entrepreneurship in Friday’s Arizona Republic, I arrived to Gangplank (www.gangplankhq.com) this morning to find 12 News doing a story.
I walk in, stepping by a petite brunette reporter (later introduced as Nicole McGregor) and a stocky, but fun-loving anchorman (cool guy named Brannock), and begin to unpack my weapons (laptop, etc.).
Someone notices I walked in, yelling “Yo, Steve.”
Nicole: Looks up from a piece of paper she was reading (script?) and says, “Hey, are you …(looks down at her paper, then back at me)… Steve Shaffer?
me: “Yes, I am.”
Nicole: “Great, we want to interview you.”
me: “Let me check my good looks, I’ll be right back.”
During the interview the folks at Gangplank snickered jokes like “Media Whore,” and “Mascot” (also other words which should not be repeated).
